About National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur

National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur is a premier, government-funded Ayurveda institute and a “Deemed to be University (De Novo)” under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Founded with a legacy of over 175 years, NIA combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern research, clinical training, and patient care.

The institute aims to provide high-quality education, research, and healthcare services, producing skilled Ayurveda graduates and researchers capable of addressing modern healthcare challenges. NIA is recognized nationally for its excellence in Ayurvedic teaching, hospital services, and scientific research.

Courses Offered

Undergraduate Programs:

• BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) — 5.5 years including internship

Postgraduate Programs:

• MD / MS (Ayurveda) — Specializations include:
