About Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kurukshetra University

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) was established in 2003 on the campus of Kurukshetra University, Thanesar, Haryana, to offer a four-year B.Pharm programme. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. Kurukshetra University is a Category-I university established by the State Legislature (Act XII of 1956) and carries the NAAC A++ grade as stated on its website.

Admission Process

• B.Pharm admission is rank-based. The 2025-26 admission notice states that selection lists were prepared on the rank in the Online Common Entrance Test (OCET) conducted by HSTES, as per the B.Pharmacy brochure of the Department of Technical Education, Haryana.
• Vacant seats are filled by the university through its online admission portal. The 2025-26 notice mentioned an application fee of Rs. 1,200 (Rs. 300 for SC, BC and differently abled candidates of Haryana).
• Eligibility conditions are given in the Haryana B.Pharmacy brochure on hstes.org.in and techeduhry.gov.in. Check the latest notice before applying, as dates and fees change every year.

Labs

As a PCI-approved institute offering B.Pharm and M.Pharm in these branches, IPS runs practical training in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. Please see the official site for the lab details.
