What can you do on the TNNMC portal?
According to the council’s portal, it offers:
- Primary registration for Tamil Nadu qualifications, including Auxiliary Nurse Midwife, Health Visitor, Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and Basic B.Sc Nursing. Additional qualifications such as Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing and post-basic diplomas can also be registered.
- Other-state registration for qualifications first obtained in another state. This needs a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent council.
- Verification and other services such as verification through the State Nurse Register, duplicate registration certificates and name changes.
The portal’s instruction page lists three registration types: Basic Course, Additional Course and Other State Course. For each you enter academic details (registration number, institute details, start and end dates, year of passing) and personal details (address, nationality, community, date of birth and a recent passport-size photo). It lists a fee of Rs. 365 payable online or by challan at a bank branch, but please confirm the current fee before paying.
Before you apply: a safe checklist
- Start only from the council’s own website or portal listed above.
- Keep your course certificate, marksheets, ID proof and photo ready.
- If you studied in another state, ask your parent council for the NOC first.
- Keep a copy of every receipt.
- Do not pay an agent who promises “guaranteed” or “fast” registration, and never share OTPs or passwords.
