What is BPT?

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a 4.5-year undergraduate professional healthcare program that trains students in scientific management of physical disabilities, pain, movement dysfunction, and rehabilitation.
It prepares students as licensed Physiotherapists, capable of treating patients using manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, biomechanics, and evidence-based rehabilitation sciences.

Course Duration

4.5 Years Total

• 4 Years Academic Study (divided into 8 semesters / 4 years)
• 6 Months Compulsory Clinical Internship

During the internship, students rotate across all departments:

• Orthopedics Physiotherapy

• Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapy
• Sports Rehabilitation

• ICU & Emergency Rehabilitation

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for BPT, a student must:

Academic Eligibility

• Completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB mandatory)
• Minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories in many states)

Age Requirement

• Minimum 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year
• Upper age limit: No limit in most states
