Is a DHMS recognised?

The NCH regulations say that a diploma or degree qualification from the earlier schedules of the Act will stop being recognised if its name does not follow the new regulations. This applies to qualifications granted after the regulations take effect. Because rules and recognition can change, do not assume any DHMS is valid for practice. Check the course on the NCH website and ask the institute for its recognition letter before you pay.

Checklist before taking admission

  1. Ask for the institute’s recognition or permission letter from NCH and the state authority.
  2. Confirm the exact course name and duration in writing.
  3. Be careful with “postal” or “distance” medical courses, since clinical subjects need a real hospital training.
