What the Exam Covers

- 100% of seats in deemed universities
State Quota Counselling

Ayurveda Admission Process: Step by Step
The Ayurveda admission process looks long, but it follows a clear order. Here it is in eight steps.
- Register for NEET UG on the NTA portal and appear for the test.
- Download your scorecard and note your All India Rank and category rank.
- Confirm that you cleared the qualifying percentile for your category.
- Register on the AACCC portal for All India, central and deemed seats. Also register on your state portal for state quota seats.
- Pay the registration fee and refundable security deposit. Read the refund rules before you pay.
- Fill and lock your college choices in order of real preference.
- Check the round-wise allotment result. AACCC usually runs Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and stray vacancy rounds.
- Report to the allotted college with original documents before the deadline. A seat you do not report for is treated as vacant.
Keep these documents ready: NEET admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, photo ID, category and domicile certificates, and passport photos. Do not accept a seat taken directly at a college outside official allotment for AACCC seats. Such admissions are not valid.

Selected students spend two years in Pre-Ayurveda at an Ayurveda Gurukulam. Then they move to 4.5 years of BAMS and a one-year internship. The exam is offline, with 120 one-mark questions in 150 minutes. There is no negative marking. It can be written in Sanskrit, Hindi or English. Qualifying marks are 50% for the unreserved category and 40% for SC, ST, OBC and PwD. The age limit was 15 to 25 years as of 31 December 2026.

BAMS runs for 5.5 years. That means 4.5 years of study and a one-year internship. For an MD or MS in Ayurveda, you take a different test, the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
